How is The Palette Edit different from other color analysis services?

Unlike traditional seasonal typing, The Palette Edit uses a proprietary Signature System rooted in both color theory, science, artistry and modern personalization. We assess undertone, overtone, contrast levels, eye and lip pigmentation, and more—then match you with real-world products across price points. No generic swatches. No draping. No guesswork.

Is this service only for women?

Not at all. The Palette Edit is for anyone who wants to feel more confident in their color choices—makeup wearers, non-makeup wearers, and all genders are welcome. This is about discovering what enhances you, regardless of identity.

What age range is this for?

Color confidence is timeless. we work with clients of all ages—from 18 plus and  those embracing the beauty of change in their 40s, 50s, 60s and beyond. In fact, many clients seek a color reset during style transitions or life milestones.

What if I think I’ve been color typed before—should I still consider The Palette Edit?

Definitely. Many clients come to The Palette Edit after past color analysis experiences that didn’t quite “click.” Because we don’t rely on rigid categories or in-person draping alone, our digital process offers a fresh, holistic perspective that often brings clarity where others haven’t.

What kind of photo do I need to send?

A clear, well-lit photo taken in natural daylight—preferably near a window—is ideal. Please make sure you’re not wearing any makeup (mascara is okay), and avoid filters, overhead lighting, or strong shadows. You can submit a full-face photo, just half your face, or segments of your face (facial skin, eye, lips and hair) if you prefer more privacy. Natural, true-to-life lighting is key to accurate analysis.

What if I’m not sure how to take the photo?

No stress—once you book your service, you’ll receive easy photo guidelines to help you capture exactly what I need for accurate results. It’s quick and simple!

What’s the difference between the Essential and Deluxe services?

The Essential Edit ($45) includes  with 1 product suggestions per feature using budget-friendly and luxury brands, plus your Signature Profile Class and wardrobe color palette, and Pocket Palette—all delivered in a custom PDF.

The Deluxe Edit ($85) includes two each of expanded product recommendations (budget and luxury brands; foundation to mascara), wardrobe palette, Pocket Palette and your Signature Profile Class—all in a detailed PDF.

Both are delivered via email within 3–5 business days.

What if I don’t wear makeup but still want to know my colors?

That’s totally fine. Every client receives a complete color profile that includes ideal clothing tones and your overall palette using The Palette Edit’s Signature System. Makeup recommendations are provided as part of the service, but let us know if you don't want them included with your profile. Prices will remain as posted.

Do you match me with specific brands or just give general color suggestions?

Your profile includes both: general color guidance and specific product matches across well-known brands (both budget and luxury). This helps you shop with confidence.

Will you tell me what not to wear?

The Palette Edit isn’t about rigid rules—it’s about unlocking what truly flatters you. While your profile will identify shades that may clash with your undertone or overpower your features, the goal is to guide—not restrict. Your personal style and confidence always come first.

Will my color palette change over time?

Your underlying undertone typically stays consistent throughout life—but shifts in hair color, skin texture, or personal style can influence how colors interact with you. That’s why many clients return after major transitions for a palette refresh. The Signature System is designed to evolve with you.

How long does it take to get my results?

You’ll receive your custom PDF within 3–5 business days of submitting your photo and completing your questionnaire. Please feel free to contact us if you have questions about your palette and recommendations.

Can I gift this service to someone else?

Absolutely! Digital gift cards are available for both the Essential and Deluxe packages. It’s a thoughtful, confidence-boosting gift for birthdays, graduations, celebrations, holiday's or self-care moments.

Do you offer refunds?

Due to the customized nature of this service, all sales are final. That said, we want you to love your results—so if you have questions or concerns, we welcome your feedback and will do our best to make adjustments where possible.
